Georgia Lt Governor

There will be no incumbent in the 2026 race for Governor. Current Lt. Governor Burt Jones (Rep) is running for Governor. This has led to a wide-open race on the Republican side, where currently 8 candidates have file a declaration of intent to run for office. On the Democratic side, we only have two candidates, both of whom have indicated that they are firmly in the race throughout the primary on May 19th.

The Dade County Democratic Committee will not endorse any Democratic candidate in the upcoming 2026 primary for Lt. Governor.
