How many different elections do we have in 2025?

While 2025 is considered an "off-year" for elections, in 2025, there will be TWO sets of elections, one local and one state. The local elections (non-partisan) are in Trenton, and involve two of the four city commissioners. The two city Council positions up for election this year are Parks & Animal Control and Police. The general election for those in Trenton will take place on November 4th.

There is also a special election at the state level this year involving two of the five Public Service Commissioner (PSC) seats. While our District 5 representative is not up for election (Districts 2 and 3 are), all the PSC positions are voted on statewide. These are partisan races and are occurring this year in a special election due to a protracted legal case over redistricting. The Democratic primary for our candidates will be held on June 17th. The general election for the two seats will be held on November 4th.

This year's Georgia election calendar can be accessed here.
